It's alright, at least it's a classic with a long history. I don't like the -ica sound (I dislike Erica and Monica for that reason) but I love Jessie.
Jessica is fine but it's still pretty common and at the same time it's starting to sound really dated. I wouldn't use it for another 60 years or so, it seriously needs a long long break.
However I think Jessie, Jessamy, Jessa and Jessamine are perfectly usable and pretty.
