I do like it, but since it's such a popular name, it's better in the mn spot.

Its ok, but I prefer Jessa or Jessamine more.

I know *so* many Jessica's that it's just gotten ridiculous. I don't like the name though, even if it wasn't popular.

I think that every Jesssica I know is called Jennifer and every Jennifer I know is called Jessica.

If I were to use it I thinkit would make a great middle name, it didn't get popular by being ugly (cuz it's not!). Just too overused for my taste....

I think it's really pretty. I like a lot of names from the 80's.

Jessica was a super popular name for my generation (80's). I think its usage has died down quite a bit, but not enough to make it feel dated. I think it is a nice name.

It's alright, at least it's a classic with a long history. I don't like the -ica sound (I dislike Erica and Monica for that reason) but I love Jessie.

Jessica is fine but it's still pretty common and at the same time it's starting to sound really dated. I wouldn't use it for another 60 years or so, it seriously needs a long long break.

However I think Jessie, Jessamy, Jessa and Jessamine are perfectly usable and pretty.

I knew a lot of Jessicas growing up. The name itself is all right-it exists courtesy of Shakespeare, if I'm not mistaken-but it's not something I would personally use. I heard it so much as a kid, any charm it once had completely fizzled. Now, I consider it bland and unmemorable.

It's my name and I've learned to love it and embrace it. I'm not plain, I'm not trashy and I sure as hell have never been "rah-rah shish boom bah" for my school lol! Jessica was created by Shakespeare and she was the main character in "The Merchant of Venice." Granted, it is dated and I shall become one of the many Esthers, Estelles, Marys and Michelles in 50 years time but I think it would be quite nice to have a daughter and/or granddaughter with the middle name Jessica :) If you are worried with it's "dated-ness" use it as an interesting middle name.

I like it, but it was too popular at one point, and will become dated, if it isn't already. That's why I would never use it.

I love Jessica but would never use it because it feels dated and potentially a bit trashy with the cheerleader stereotype.

I'm fond of it, because it's the name of the cousin I'm closest to, and I think it has a pretty, delicate sound.
