IMO, Claudia is too popular... also which way would you pronounce it? KLAW-dee-ə, KLOW-dee-ah or KLOW-dyah? If KLOW-dyah, I'd actually probably prefer it to Laurel. But Laurel is lovely without being to common,and had a familiar sound.
