Rosalie
Is this name a bit twee? Or is it simply gorgeous and feminine?Do you prefer Rosa or Rosie as the short form?

I love it. I used to prefer just Rose (only as a fn) or Rosemary, but Rosalie is definitely a favorite now. It's sweet and cute but also feminine and pretty and would age well into adulthood imo. ETA: I prefer Rose or Rosie as a nn to Rosa.

Rosalie is twee, yes, but also very pretty. I would prefer Rosie as the nickname - Rosa is a (beautiful) full name in its own right. The only Rosalie I know is my mum's first cousin. Her given names are Rosalie Ann, and she has always gone by Ann, which astonishes me ... But to each her own :-)_____________________________________________________________________Elinor'Why do people with closed minds, always open their mouths?'

Gorgeous and feminineRosalie is lovely. I would not use a nn at all. But I guess I would prefer Rosie, b/c with Rosa, people might think her formal names was just Rosa."You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."

I think Rosalie is really nice. It's a very feminine name to me. I like both Rosa and Rosie as nns, but I'd probably go with Rosa.

I think it's absolutely beautiful! I'm not much for the short forms except as the occasional nn. Rosie would be cute sometimes.Image hosted by Photobucket.comBunny, Gigi, Chloris, Wilma, Darleen, Eartha

Opinion: Rosalie is a very attractive name, and I think Rosie is a better nickname than Rosa.
Problem: A couple years ago, in the Guinness Book of World Records, a woman by the name of Rosalie Bradford, I think, held the record for heaviest woman ever weighed or something like that.
Solution: I prefer Rosalia over Rosalie._________________________________________________

I absolutely love this name. It's one of my top 2 for my pregnancy now (if the baby is a girl, of course - lol).

Haha! It's twee, gorgeous and feminine. Old-fashioned, quaint twee - not twee like Precious or Heavenlee.Rosa doesn't sound like a nick to me; I'd expect Rose or Rosie depending on what seemed to fit her.- chazda

I can't picture an adult named Rosalie, but it's cute on a child. I would prefer just Rose, which I love. As the nickname, I like Rosie and Rose.

I love Rosalie but I don't know if you care what I think since I'm only 15. But I think Rosalie is gorgeous with no nickname but Rosie would be ok as a nickname if you really wanted one.Kaylie Anne xxhttp://www.freewebs.com/romance_haha/index.htm

Rosalie is a pretty name. I've been thinking of names since I was much younger than you. It definitely matters what you think. You're never too young to share opinions about names or to have likes and dislikes. Some of my favorites have stayed my faves for years. I decided on at least one of them at maybe 13 or 14. I'm planning on having kids in a couple of years or so and I don't expect them to change.
