V nice ,but I feel that the name Selkie would be highly suitable.......xxxxxxxxxx
Rosalie is twee, yes, but also very pretty. I would prefer Rosie as the nickname - Rosa is a (beautiful) full name in its own right.
The only Rosalie I know is my mum's first cousin. Her given names are Rosalie Ann, and she has always gone by Ann, which astonishes me ... But to each her own :-)

Gorgeous and feminine
Rosalie is lovely. I would not use a nn at all.
But I guess I would prefer Rosie, b/c with Rosa, people might think her formal names was just Rosa.

I like Rosie as a nn. :)
Opinion: Rosalie is a very attractive name, and I think Rosie is a better nickname than Rosa.
Problem: A couple years ago, in the Guinness Book of World Records, a woman by the name of Rosalie Bradford, I think, held the record for heaviest woman ever weighed or something like that.
Solution: I prefer Rosalia over Rosalie.

I absolutely love this name. It's one of my top 2 for my pregnancy now (if the baby is a girl, of course - lol).
Rosalie is a pretty name. I've been thinking of names since I was much younger than you. It definitely matters what you think. You're never too young to share opinions about names or to have likes and dislikes. Some of my favorites have stayed my faves for years. I decided on at least one of them at maybe 13 or 14. I'm planning on having kids in a couple of years or so and I don't expect them to change.
