Ada
I'm really loving the eerie, simple beauty of Ada lately. It has a somehow rustic, yet refined and elegant feel which I can't resist. I know many people find any name resembling Ava to be offensive, but the two couldn't be more different in my opinion.
Ada Beatrix
Ada Caroline
Ada Catherine
Ada Frances
Ada Magdalene
Ada Marion
Ada Ruth

I like Ada probably because it was my great aunt's name. I've never liked Ava very much. The only names I dislike in your combos are Ruth and Winifred. I love the rest.
I agree.
Ava is very very modern sounding and trendy.
Ada is classic and long standing and very elegant. To me its a lovely name, however I do somewhat find it too short, and unless it had some killer middle names I wouldn't use it on its own.
I MUCH prefer Adeline or Adaline with the nn Ada instead.
wdyt of spelling Adah? This looks odd to me.

Reminds me of Ada, Oklahoma.
I lived there briefly when I was first married and have loved the name ever since.

I love Ada as well, both as a given name and as a nickname for Adelaide.
I agree that Ada has a completely different feel than Ava!

A long time favorite.
I'd use it if I could. Ava and Ada are also quite different to me.
I love Ada Magdalene, Ada Beatrix and Ada Ruth.

I still rather like Ava, since I somehow live in a vortex that inhibits its popularity, but I do love Ada as well. I full agree with your description of it as an eerie, simple beauty. So true!
I like these combos:
Ada Beatrix - my favourite, so snappy
Ada Catherine (though I am not a Catherine lover, it suits it so well!)
Ada Winnifred

I have been thinking of Ada recently as well and love it! Ada Catherine is gorgeous.
I agree 100%. While I agree Ava is lovely, it has a completely different feeling for me, more exotic and sophisticated. Ava has loads of energy. Ada is more down-home and sensible, yet delicate.
My only fear with Ada is that someone will one day use it as a mn without realizing that it sounds like "ate a" after a fn. :-P
From your list, I love all except Ada Ruth. I just don't like Ruth. Ada Frances and Ada Winifred are my favorites.

I love Ada. I also love Adelaida "Ada" who was a character in a book I once read.
I love Ada Catherine and Ada Magdalene. It needs a longer middle name.

Ada =/= Ava, in my opinion. Also, I like Ada much, much more. I've known several Adas, all of them over 70 years of age, lol. I think the name is sweet as honey.
I'm in love with Ada Frances, but Ada Marion is superb. I've really been doting on Marion lately.
Ada Catherine is regal, but Catherine significantly lessens the homespun quality of Ada, methinks.

I heart Ada :) I also like the variant Adia (ay-dee-ah).
Ada Frances, Ada Magdalene and Ada Winifred are somewhat "whimsical" to me and I quite like them :)

I agree. I've liked Ada for a long time. It's very clean and simplistic, but elegant too. I'm surprised it isn't more popular because of its similarity to Ava. I like Ava, but it has a much different feel than Ada.
Ada Catherine appeals to me the most out of your list. My favorite Ada combo is Ada Temperance.

Ada is very different from Ava in my opinion as well. Ava is pretty, but so overused right now that I wouldn't consider it. (Ava also goes poorly with our last name). Ada is more powerful, and like you said almost eerie sounding--in a good way. It is old fashioned without being staunchy or unusable. I saw the name spelled Ayda once--I actually like that too. It gives it a fresh modern look, without being OTT and kre8tyve. (Ayda also a legit name of Arabic origin I found out...:)) I also like Adia.
Ada Magdalene is very gorgeous.

I still see it as an old lady's name. I was named after an elderly relative called Ada Louisa but only got the mn bit.
However, Ada is beginning to pique my interest, since it's of the present name revival vintage - the trouble is, it's so short and I think the mn paired with it either makes or breaks it, yet if the mn is too long it seems to look unbalanced to me.
Ada Marion is nice.
Maybe also:
Ada Fleur
Ada Juliet
Ada Lynette
Ada Margot

I love Ada! It works on it's own but could also be a nickname for some other names I like; Adele, Adelaide etc
I don't really like Beatrix, but I think Ada Beatrix was a great combo. I also started thinking of Ada Madeleine.
Ada Sofia
Ada Nicole
Ada Nicolina
Ada Noelle
Ada Felicity
Ada Scarlett
Ada Persephone
Ada Theodora
Ada Augusta
Ada Claire

My husband and I are discussing names a lot lately, and Ada was one of the few on my list he really liked. He likes Ava, too, but we're afraid it might be too popular to use.
I like Ada Catherine, and Ada Frances.

I think it's pretty. I like Ada Caroline and Ada Magdalene the best out of your combos.
