Annemarie
I've just been thinking on Annemarie lately. I just love Anne, and though Marie has never been one of my favorites, I always like to be able to incorporate Mary & her variants. It'd be like killing two honorings with one stone...or something like that...I've only ever met one woman with this name, she was my mom's childhood friend & a very nice lady. I can imagine Annemarie on any absolutely age, though. That always adds a certain charm to a name, I think.

My sisters roomate is named Annemarie. I think there is a sweetness about Annemarie. Her sisters are Aileen and Alison.

This is my mother's name, but everyone calls her Ann. I think it's a very sweet name, and versatile. It could work on a lot of different people.

I like it, it's pretty for all ages - I agree.

I agree, it is a lovely name that would be adorable on a little girl, elegant but down to earth on a teenager, and prettily mature on a grown woman. The option to shorten it to Annie or Anne is also available for the bearer. You also do not see it very often!

It seems to me to be a very Catholic name. Nothing inherently wrong with that, unless you're not Catholic. It also reminds me of "That Girl" but there I'm just showing my age. It's pretty enough.

It's grown on me quite a bit, considering that one of my relatives is named Annemarie.

I saw a child in a magazine once, Pearl Annemarie. It seemed so perfect that it has stuck with me.There are so many Anns / Ann Maries in my family, as well as my dh's that it would be difficult not to use one of the two. My favorite name for a girl is Niamh and I've tossed Niamh Annmarie around in my head from time to time. (I prefer the look of Annemarie, but all the Anns in my family spell it without an "e.")I've never thought about it as a fn, but sure why not? I agree, it's ageless. Disclaimer: My name is Ann Marie. :-)
