Micah
What do you think of it? Does it go well with Matteo? Do you think it would be cheesy because both of their names would start with the same letter?
I'm thinking of using this to honor my father, Michael, and Nate really likes this name. I figured it may not be my dad's exact name but Michael and Micah mean the same thing and they sound similar. Plus, Micah is far less common.

I will tell you a personal story with this name. I was baptized when I was 26 years old, because my parents never did, and since I was very active in the church at the time, it was important to me.
Anyway, I had done a little mission work with some of my congregation in South Dakota (helping rebuild homes) and after we did the mission, we climbed this mountain called Harney Peak, and at the bottom of the mountain there was a lake called Sylvan Lake, in which I was immersed.
After I came out of the water, I was shimmering and had a lot of golden flicks all over me, because the water was full of mica, so as a sort of informality, the pastor and some of the others decided to give me the new name of Micah at baptism.
I do like the name very much.

Love the name, very spunky. It sounds great with Matteo. It's only cheesy if your doing it on purpose (that is, using an M name just because your sons starts with an , wether you love it or not) and seeing as thats not the case, it's fine.
Micah is fine to honour your dad IMO, a nice way to honour him but your son still has his own name.
Micah and Matteo? Love it!

Micah and Matteo? Love it!
It goes ok with Matteo, but I am not a huge fan of Micah. It feels feminine (I know its not a feminine name) and kind of trendy.
When it comes to sibsets, I hold the mantra "Who cares?" My three cousins (all sisters) are Destiny, Heather and Ryan. TOTALLY different from one another but it works. I LOVE the name Micah. Go for it. I've only known one Micah and for some reason HER parents named HER that. Sucks 'cause I love it on boys.
I love Micah! I'm not sure if it goes with Matteo though. If they started with different letters then it might, but as it is I don't really think so.
I like it for a girl. It sounds similar to the girls name Meike (MY-keh) which is very common here so it has a very girly sound, in my opinion. I don't really like Meike but I do like Micah. The only Micah I know is a girl.
But it works well on a boy, of course, and it's nice that it honors your father.

Go for it! It's a great name, a wonderful choice. I love that it's biblical and so unhackneyed.
Thats a very good name. It does go well with Matteo in a sibset. It's not cheesy that they have the same letter. You are doing it for honoring purposes. Plus I like the name. :) What is most important is that you and your husband love the name.
love it...
