Would you shorten Michael to Mike, or just leave it as it is?

In replys, can you put 'Mike' or 'Michael' in the subject please.

I hate Mike, and really dislike Michael, but Mickey is soo cute on a boy, so I choose only use a nickname, and only Mickey. (Mikey isn't horrible either)

I would prefer to use Michael most of the time, but he would probably be called Mike on occasion. I have no problem with Mike. DH and I actually had that name on our list until we realized we both have uncles named Michael!
