Estelle
Hello Everyone!
I've started to really like Estelle lately, which is a bit unusual, because I used to think it was, I don't know, "prissy" or something. What is everyone else's opinion on it? Is it too feminine or snobbish sounding, or is it a nice name? And are there any middle name suggestions for Estelle?Thank you!
Iris

Estelle is cute but "weak" sounding to me, with not a lot of personality.
I love Estella & Esther though

I prefer Estella, but Estelle is growing on me a bit lately. It just sounds more like an old lady to me than Estella, and I usually love very old-fashioned names. :b

I don't think being 'too feminine' is a problem at all for a girls name being used on a girl (if that makes sense). Anyway, I don't think it sounds snobbish at all, it's rather elegant and pretty imo. However, I much prefer Estella - it's still pretty and elegant but kinda has some 'spunk' to it.
Some mn suggestions:Estelle Josephine
Estelle Marianne / Mariana
Estelle Georgiana
Estelle Freya
Estelle Joy
Estelle Liliana

Estelle is old sounding to me, mostly because I think of Estelle Getty who played Sophia on THe Golden Girls. I really like Estella and Stella though. Very sophisticated, elegant and old fashioned.

Wow, that is strange! I'm so glad somebody else is from Glasgow, though! Do you miss it at all? I adore Edinburgh, but sometimes I wish I was back home with my family, you know?
And thank you for the name list, I found quite a few good middle names :)

I miss it all the time. It's my home; how could I not? My close family isn't there anymore, but still, I wish I could move them all back there and live there sometimes. People talk about how beautiful America is, but I feel like I've seen it and done my time here(ha!). Send me home!...heh. I really want to take my family there one day, but I'll have to wait until my children are old enough to really appreciate it and care. :)-Seda*
