This is my all-time favorite name for a boy. While I also often prefer
Felix to
Isaac,
Felix seems to be more of a seasonal favorite, whereas
Isaac is a consistent favorite through any season. Adding to its allure, I have a great-great-great-great-grandfather named
Isaac, and his father was also named
Isaac.
Also, there is something about the sibset
Isaac,
Benjamin and
Samuel that really feels right to me. I would really love to have three sons named:
Isaac JamesBenjamin ArthurSamuel Peter
...and then two daughters named after my two grandmothers:
Alice KeturahCharlotte Sophia
This is in contrast to my other lists, wherein I favor more warm bold names like:
Felix JudeTheodora CatherineSilas BenjaminMagdalene Annaetc.
I tend to like more glaring names during one part of the year, and more traditional, colonial names during another, but
Isaac always tends to transcend those moods. That is probably a sign.
