Pia
What do you think of Pia?
How do you pronounce it?
Does it make you think of anything in particular? (it makes me think of a not very nice word so I'm just wondering if you have that association as well (to pee).
Do you know anyone with the name? Do you see it getting common now that Mia is used so often? How about Lia?
If you had to choose:
Pia or Mia?
Pia or Lia?
Lia or Mia?

I dislike it. I think it sounds unattractive.

PEE-uh

Yes. That and Pompee which isn't bad. I think of big noses though lol for some reason.

I know someone with this name -- a friend's younger sister, about 17. Andrea Pia. She goes by her first name in formal situations, but people she knows well call her Pia.

No I don't really think so. Lia is common enough. Just different spelling are popular. I've seen Leah and Lia. It's simple enough that you never know when it will enjoy a bout of popularity.

I like Pia because it is simple, pretty and I like the meaning. I pronounce it PEE-ah. There was a teacher at my high school with that first name so it reminds me of her. It also reminds me of Michelangelo's Pietà because of the meaning. I doubt it will become more common because I think many have the pee issue. I think Lia has a better chance of becoming more common.
I prefer Pia over Mia and Lia, but I prefer Lia to Mia.

For me Mia>Pia>Lia.
Pia is okay, but nms. I wouldn't mind seeing it though. I pronounce it PEE-ah. Yeah there's the pee reference but next I think of Italy. So it sort of equals out for me. I don't see it get common any time soon, nor with Lia. Maybe Lina or Lena though. I don't know anyone with the name.

The first thing I thought of was Pee =( and then Pie =(
Glory of the '80's! ;)
I know several Pias born in the 1980's so for me, this name is dated (but I think it's kind of preparing for a little comeback in Europe).
PEE-a would be my pronuciatin.
This is one of the names I never liked. But then again, I'm not into these ultra-short three letter names in general. Mia, Lia, Nia, Sia are all kind of "syrupy" to me, pale names covered in sugar. Pia, on the other hand, is rather a pale name covered in sugar and salt, if I make any sense here.
I don't think Pia will become as popular as Mia and Lia, simply because it's not sweet enough.
And yet, of all those -ia names, I like Pia the best.
