Re: Charlie or Charles?

Charlie and Max sound like terriers to me.
I have to admit that I have a certain fondness for Charlie (thanks to my late-90s sitcom of choice), but I'd never use it. I can't stand Charles at all.
However, I think that Charles, nn Charlie (or Charley--just remembered I like Charley, like in Flowers for Algernon) would hold up better than just plain Charlie.
Max isn't my favourite, though I do like Maximilian and Maxwell a bit.

Get into the car
We'll be the passenger
We'll ride through the city tonight
See the city's ripped insides
We'll see the bright and hollow sky
We'll see the stars that shine so bright
The sky was made for us tonight
