My Irish cousin named her dd Eimear. It's one of my all time favorite Irish names. I adore it. But she pronounces it "EE-mer / EE-mur." Different parts of the courtry pronounce names differently so maybe that accounts for the difference. (She's in the south, in County Tipperary.)ETA:Eimear Siobhan
