Shay- names have really ruined it. And I WAS born in the 80's... *feels stereotypical*
The only thing I don't identify with is the lowbrow bit. It's so rarely used around here, though it's slightly more upperclass than many names typical of the late 80's.
I'd want to spell it like
Rachel's. I'm more attracted to "i"s in names than "y"s, generally.
ETA: I know this wasn't specifically asked, but I like
Shaindel best of all.
