The only thing I don't identify with is the lowbrow bit. It's so rarely used around here, though it's slightly more upperclass than many names typical of the late 80's.
I'd want to spell it like Rachel's. I'm more attracted to "i"s in names than "y"s, generally.

I don't find it lowbrow either. I don't like Shaindel/Shayndel, it reminds me of sandal.
