Love Charlotte nn Lottie. It's my 6 yr old cousins name. Lottie is such a great nn, so much better than Charlie, which is all boy to me. But I guess that's the nice thing about Charlotte- options for when she grows up, for what suits her best.Charlotte - Lottie or Charley? Lottie
Isabella - Izzy or Bella? Izzy
Matilda - Mattie or Tilly? Tilly
Beatrix - Bea or Trixie? Trixie
Catherine - Cate or Cath? Cate
Eleanor - Ellie, Ella or Nora? Ellie and Nora (Ella is a full name to me, not a nn)
Emmeline - Emma or Emmy? Emmy (Emma sounds different)

I like Charlotte, but not Lottie. Well, maybe. I still think Charley is better though. Charlotte - Charley (prn with a "sh" sound)
Isabella - Well, I suppose Izzy. Also Isa and Bel. I only like Bella as a full nam.
Matilda - Mattie.
Beatrix - I like Trix bot not Trixie.
Catherine - Cate. Maybe it's just because I haven't known any, but Cath juat makes me think of the word Caholic or something/

Charlotte - Lottie - It's "cute" but ages well.
Isabella - Bella - More mature and lovely sounding to the ear.
Matilda - Mattie - I prefer no nickname. Tilly doesn't age well, imo. Mattie is just okay.
Beatrix - Bea - It's sweet and simple. Trixie sounds like a dog name.
Catherine - Cate - More elegant but still approachable.
Eleanor - Ella - Though I prefer Noor.
Emmeline - Emmy - It is less common though it does sound a little too cutesy. I'm not sure how well it would age.

I think Charlotte nn Lottie is kind of counterintuitive. I like it just "Charlotte," with occasional nickname Shar or Charlie.Isabella - I like both a lot
Matilda - Tilly by far
Beatrix - Both
Catherine - umm Cate. I also like Cathy tho
Eleanor - Nora
Emmeline - Emma is not a nickname, Emmeline is the nickname.I like Bernadette nn Birdie, I think that is adorable. I also really like Nancy, Inga/Enga, Zelda, Nella. umm Bill. idk.

Some are a bit unintuitiveSo could be problematic.Isabella - Ibby
Matilda - Milla
Beatrix - Bee
Catherine - Kitty
Eleanor - Don't have one.
Emmeline - MellyCharlotte - I can't help wanting to shorten it to Harlot. I don't like it. I'd pick Lottie, it's sweet. I love to see it stand alone. Charly/Charlie is okay enough. I love the old Lottchen and Tottie but the latter is most definitely unsuable now.

I adore Charlotte but without a nickname - it is only two syllables after all and so doesn't need to have a nickname...I kinda like Lott though. I detest Charley - the spelling, the masculinity...Charlie is a boys name only for me.Isabella - I much prefer Bella. It is elegant, sophisticated and kinda quirky. However, I like Izzy as a nn for Israel (m).Matilda - I prefer Tilly but like Matilda by itself as well. It is my favourite name.Beatrix - Trixie is very cool and quirky. I adore it but Bea is also pretty spunky.Eleanor - Nora is very elegant. Lovely.Emmeline - Emma cheapens the elegance and quality of Emmeline for me. Emmy is very cool as an occasional nn though.

I like Lottie so much more than Charlie / Charley as a nn for Charlotte. It's sweeter and so much less boyish, but I think it could still fit a tomboy.Charlotte - Lottie
Isabella - Izzy... But I think that Bella would fit a girly girl better than Izzy would.
Matilda - Mattie
Beatrix - Bea
Catherine - Cathy
Eleanor - Nora
Emmeline - Emma

Charlotte - Lottie or Charley? Charley, but I prefer the spelling Charlie because Charley looks more masculine to me. I've never been a fan of Lottie.
Isabella - Izzy or Bella? I prefer Bella. Izzy is too cutesy for my liking.
Matilda - Mattie or Tilly? Definitely Mattie. I really don't care for Tilly.
Beatrix - Bea or Trixie? Bea.
Catherine - Cate or Cath? I prefer Cate. How about Cat as opposed to Cath?
Eleanor - Ellie, Ella or Nora? Either Ellie or Nora. I don't really care for Ella. I do like Elle though.
Emmeline - Emma or Emmy? Emma.

I think Charlotte needs to stay Charlotte. Bella is permissible to me, Mattie is inevitable, Bea is fine, Cate, any of those Eleanor ones are fine, I'd go with Elle personally, and Emmeline should be Emmy.
