I really love the sound and it is such a warm sunny name to me. But it has also always seemed kind of insubstantial for some reason as a full name for me to seriously consider. I would love to meet a Calla though.

Like it. I like the meaning and it sounds good too. I would probably use it on a character but I would be happy to see a real person with this name too. Random: It also sounds like it would be a good nn for Calliope (way better than Callie).
