Holden?
What are you're thought on the name Holden (for a boy)? It obviously has a very strong connection with 'Catcher in the Rye'; In you're opinion, would that cause any problems? Thanks!

I'd never use it - where I live it's a really well-known make of car (on a par with Ford), frequently souped up and driven by street racers. If I met a kid called Holden I would assume his parents were extreme bogans.
That said, it's probably not an issue outside of NZ and Australia (I'm guessing? Before just now I thought that Holden cars were everywhere).
*attempts to don neutral hat* It sounds fine for a boy. A little trendy with the 'den' ending (Kayden, Aidan, Jayden, etc), but fine.

I like the name HOLDEN a lot...only for a boy though.
I like it. I've never read Catcher and the Rye, so I don't even associate it with that. So, I don't see any problems. I think that it's an old enough book that you won't run into any problems.
Holden is a great name.
love for both genders
Well I love Catcher in the Rye, so I love the name. I don't see it as much of a problem though, it's a nice name on it's own. I wouldn't use it but I would like to see it on someone, it'd age well too.
Eh, okay, sort of nms. I don't think that Catcher in the Rye is too much of a problem, but I think it would be less of a problem if used as a mn.
