What do you think of Greer for a girl and for a guy?

I think it works for either.

It's most familiar to me from Greer Garson, so I guess I prefer it for a girl, but I don't really it for either sex, to be honest. It's very surnamey, and it reminds me of "grief" and "greed."

I like it for either, but for a boy I'd spell it Grier. I like it as a nn for Gregory that way.

That's a good idea! It's a way to use charming Gregory while avoiding dated Greg. Hmm. This makes me like Greer/Grier a lot more.

Greer - Cool name for a girl - not so cool for a boy. This name does not sound remotely appropriate to me for a boy - and I like August, Indiana and Zola for boys.

I love it for a girl. I'm usually not a fan of surnames-turned-names, but I really like Greer.
