I love Amyas, although I prefer the Amias spelling.I first heard the name on a BBC production, "Elizabeth R." A minor (historic) character, Sir Amyas Paulet (sp?) was pronounced "AY-mee-us." So that's the pronunciation I'm used to. The only down side is the similarity to the feminine name Amy, which is why I've settled on the Amias spelling. Have you heard it pronounced "a-MEE-us" before? I'd be interested to hear how you came by your pronunciation. Using "a-MEE-us":Amyas Daniel
Amyas John
Amyas Rowan
Amyas Noel ("nohl")
Amyas Clement
Amyas Lionel
Amyas Jordan
Amyas Edgar
Amyas George
Amyas Casper
Amyas Robert
Amyas Victor
Amyas Julian
Amyas Prosper
