Vivian/Vivienne/Vivien
Which do you prefer as a mn for Elaina? and do you pronounce them all the same?
Replies
I prefer Vivienne. In English, I pronounce them all the same, but Vivienne just looks classier and feminine to me. I believe that in French, they are all pronounced differently. Vivien is a masculine name in France, and it used to be male in England too. In France it would be pronounced (Vee-vee-OWn), while Vivienne would be pronounced (vee-vee-EN).
I pronounce them all the same.
Elaina Vivienne looks the nicest by far, imo.

Yes, I pronounce them all the same. Okay, when I speak French or visit French relatives, then I pronounce Vivienne/Vivien the French way (I have a distant relative with the name Vivien (male)) but otherwise I pronounce them the English way. I think it would be kind of weird to pronounce Vivienne the French way in an English speaking country when all the other French names (Nicole, Jacqueline) get the English pronunciation.
I dislike Vivian, the A sticks out of the name and it looks not as elegant as the other two.
Vivien is fine, but it bothers me that's it's a boys name in France. So my favorite is Vivienne, it looks elegant and feminine.

I pronounce them all the same. I prefer the Vivien spelling. It seems more feminine than Vivian, but Vivienne is overdoing it.
I pronounce Vivienne "viv-e-EN", the others I pronounce "VIV-ee-en".
I prefer Elaina Vivienne.

All three spellings are nice, but Elaina Vivien and Elaina Vivienne look a bit better than Elaina Vivian. I think I like Elaina Vivien the most.

I pronounce Vivian and Vivien the same way. Once I found out that traditionally Vivian was male and Vivien was female, I settled on the Vivien spelling for a girl. The Vivien Leigh association is a plus.
Vivienne, on the other hand, I tend to use the French "viv-ee-ENN" pronunciation for. I use the English pronunciaiton for Adrienne, so I don't know why my brain doesn't do the same for Vivienne. And I wouldn't think twice if I heard Vivienne being pronounced the same as Vivian / Vivien. It's just an odd quirk in my mind.
As for which one I would use as a mn for Elaina (prefer Elena), I suppose Vivien. Elaina looks very English to me so Vivien fits the bill. I reserve Vivian for boys only.

Definitely Elaina Vivienne. Elaina Vivian would look weird with the a's and the i's and I don't like the spelling Vivien.
Yes, I do say all of then roughly the same way.
