I know someone with this name, and she pronounces it ver-EE-nuh.
I don't particularily care for her, and that reflects on my feelings for the name. I sorta like Verona though...

I love it. I have a weakness for girls' names that begin with a V, although there are a few that I don't like. I'd pronounce it Veh-REE-nah. I think it was the name of Jefferson Davis' wife. It has a nineteenth century flavor for me.

I have only heard it pronounced one way (veh RAY nah) ...it was a character on television. I like the sound of it with the RAY in the middle. Of your two pronunciations. I like veh REE nah best
