I prefer it on a girl. Supose it could be alright on a boy but for me it's always going to be a girls name.

All boy to meOne of the few 'unisex' names that I still see as very very much a masculine name- most I prefer on a boy but wouldn't actually use on a boy because they are too androgynous. I don't find Darcy androgynous at all. It is all Mr Darcy!
I think it is far more popular on boys here in Australia than girls though, so it isn't really an issue.

I think it's too feminine for a boy. But it's too masculine for a girl.

Love it for a boy, hate it on a girl!I have Darcy Edmund/Darcy Edward as a combo! I can't convince my dh though!

I think it makes a better girl's name.

LOVE it for a boy! Love it. My favorite combo is Darcy Alexander, a gp combo is Darcy Forest. I can see myself using it for a boy. I know that Darcy is very much associated with the Pride and Prejudice Darcy here so I don't have to care about it being considered too feminine. Personally, I think Darcy is a truly unisex name that works on both a boy and a girl though I don't care for it on a girl.

Hello, just to let you know I think Darcy is a very good name. It does remind me a little of Mr. Darcy from Pride & Prejudice, only because I love the film so much!

All brooding Fitzwilliam Darcy to me but....It seems the majority find it feminine. That sucks.

I remember a boy in high school with a similar name: Darby. I guess Darcy isn't too weird, though it seems a tad more feminine than Darby to me.

Haha...Funny because my little sister is actually in class with a girl named Darby.I see what you are saying though.

it's not so obviousthat it's a boy.And that's really why I don't like it - it's a girl name to me.

Love it completely. Stately and cute. Perfect for a little boy and a full grown man.

Super cute! Maybe pair it with a more classically masculine middle name? I'm a huge Pride and Prejudice fan though so *love*
