Catherine or Genevieve?
I love both of these names so much but I can only choose one. It's for a book that I'm writing. Please help. And if you can think of a suitable mn for the one you pick that would be great! Thank you. Catherine or Genevieve?Kaylie Anne xx"A terrible beauty is born"

I like both (prefer Katherine or Kathryn) but I would pick Genevieve (even though its my fiance's ex's name)

Both are beautiful names. I think it would depend on the character. I generally see Genevieve as very girly and sophisticated so that is how I would imagine a real life Genevieve to be like. Catherine is also sophisticated but more laid back than Genevieve.
Go on, be evil and get lazy.

What about Catherine Genevieve or Genevieve Catherine? I like both, but prefer Catherine. I would use Catherine Sophia, Catherine Annabel / Anna, Catherine Hope, or Catherine Olivia.

To name a child, I would pick Catherine in a heartbeat. But I like Genevieve better for a character. Its a pretty name that I wouldn't be brave enough to use in real life.

I'm not a huge fan of either, but go with Genevive, it has a pretty sound. Catherine always seemed boring and not very feminine, but whatever. Genevive is growing on me these days...

Genevieve, but I, too, love them.

Definitely GenevieveFor a character, Genevieve will be far more memorable. How many fictional characters have been named Catherine? Besides, Genevieve is a bit prettier imo :-)_____________________________________________________________________Elinor'Why do people with closed minds, always open their mouths?'
