BA (not very new, but different)
A friend of mine recently named her baby Renee VaNyssa-fae. It is meant to convey the meaning of "Born-again, of tested faith."(I couldn't help but think that Anastasia means "rebirth," too!)Their other daughter is Lillian/"Lilly."

No offense to your friend, but that middle name is atrocious! Renee Vanessa Fae (or Fay) would have been much nicer, honestly. Ah well, at least it's in the middle, so she won't have to spell it out for people every day.

Wow. What a stupid name. I like Lilly, though.

How does Vanyssa-fae mean 'of tested faith'? Vanessa is an invented name, Fay means 'fairy'.

I am trying to figure it out myself. I don't know how the VaNyssa or Vanessa or Nyssa connection relates to the overall meaning. Though I think Fae or Fay can also refer to faith, right?
It's a girl I was friends with about 10 years ago; I don't really keep up with her enough to ask, I guess!
