Melanie
Opinions? I think it's very sweet, and feminine without being frilly. I also love the NN Mel.Out of these possible combos, which do you like the best?Melanie Katherine
Melanie Sophia
Melanie Rachael (spelling is honoring, so I wouldn't change it)
Melanie Sylvia
Melanie Astrid
Melanie Alora

I like Melanie Sophia best and Melanie Catherine somewhat. Melanie Astrid sounds to old. I don't really like any of the rest no matter how you spell Rachael which is my name if you drop the second a.

I love the classic and sweet Melanie. I also like that it's not overdone like so many other names that must be retired for several decades (a real shame). I've known very few Melanies in my lifetime. Of your combos, I like Melanie Katherine and Melanie Sophia best. My fave Melanie combos are Melanie Charlotte and Melanie Corinne.

I have known a few Melanie's of various ages so I find it ages well. The name is almost always shortened to Mel, but I like the nickname Mel so I don't mind. Out of the combos i like Melanie Sophia and Melanie Rachael.

Here at least Melanie is pretty dated. Very 80's/90's. I'd be surprised to hear a baby Melanie. I don't really like it, but that's mainly due to personal associations I have with the name. "Mel" is okay accasionally, but I don't really like it as a nn to use all the time.Melanie Rachael would be my fav of those, I like Rachael better than I would like Rachel.

Oh, I love Melanie. It's the name of a very good friend of mine, and I've watched it serve her well from early childhood through adulthood. It's a great name.I don't like Melanie Sophia or Melanie Sylvia because of the repetative long e in both names, but I like the other combos. I think my favorite is Melanie Astrid.

Melanie is a very cute name...I like it. I love the middle name ideas except for Astrid and Alora. I like Melanie Sophia or Melanie Rachael best.
