Louis or Lewis?
Which is your preference? Personally, I favor Louis, because it looks more classical, and has the possibility of being pronounced in the French manner, which is how I would pronounce it.
Lewis is nice also, and I usually like anything with a "w" in it, but it seems more like a surname to me due to association, and the "lew" part seems weaker than "lou." It is a tough call though.

Lewis because it looks so beautifully Scottish (Isle of Lewis)
And I prefer the "lew" part to the "lou" part, looking at both names. I just prefer how Lewis looks.

I don't know why, but Louis to me is always pronounced the French way, even though I know it's not always pronounced that way and I really don't like the sound of Loo-ee. x_x
