Ophélie?
WDYTO it? I am becoming fond of it... how do you pronounce it? (I personally pronounce it o-FAY-lee) Do you prefer Ophelia or this?
Replies
It is pronouncee O-fay-lee, if you are actually wanting to pronounce it correctly. I think both Ophelia and Ophelie are lovely but which one I prefer depends on what name I am pairing it with. Generally, I like Ophelie in the middle name slot.
I like Ophelia better
I prefer the long E sound, and I like the little -ya flourish at the end. :-)

I agree
I say oh-FEH-lee; I like both Ophelie and Ophelia. For me, deciding which one I will use in a combo really depends on the middle name.
*Edit* Actually, while thinking about pronunciation, I realized I put a little bit more weight on the "lee" part than the "feh" part. So, it comes out more like oh-*feh*-LEE. I'm not entirely sure how to describe it, but I wanted to at least try to be accurate.

Sabrina and I say it the same
I think it is o-FAY-lee, and it's beautiful! Somehow it doesn't carry the same solemn weight Ophelia proper does (nothing like being named after a suicidal girl...)
O-fe-lee (NEW ZEALANDER)
I prefer Ophelie :)
