I probably wouldn't use it, but it's grown on me immensely in the past few months.

I don't like it either because it makes me think of otters. Nevertheless, I've seen it repeatedly on these boards, along with Ottoline, so it could be due to make a comeback.

I love old fashioned, nostalgic names and Ottilie exemplifies that type. Even though the stress is on the first syllable, I've always thought that the nn Tillie could be used.

I love Ottilie, though I prefer Ottoline.
