CecilyI love Cecily, but the sound of Cecilia just grates on me- to my ears it's the naming equivalent of nails on a blackboard. all I can picture is a posh, snobby english voice saying "Come, Cecilia." I've no idea why this is the case, I've never known anyone called Cecilia. It's weird.Cecily is spunky and sweet.

Cecily, by far. Cecily is bright and breezy. It suits a young woman, but also ages well. Love it. Cecilia has always struck me as prissy, sorry.

Cecilia, Cecily feels like a bit of a cop-out to me.

I love/prefer Cecily. It's among my top five for girls.I like Cecilia a lot, too, though.

Cecily, although I can see the merit in both. Cecilia is elegant but Cecily is cute and less pompous - I think Cecilia is more likely to be shortened to Ceci or something. There's also Cicely, which is a version favoured at one time in England (nn "Cissy").
However, that meaning, "blind", is so horrible that I would never use any of these names.

Cecily, butI somehow see Cecilia being truly classic, and Cecily a step or three behind. If that sort of thing doesn't matter, deffo Cecily :)My combo is Cecily Mei, it's incredibly cute :b

Definitely Cecily! It's soooo much prettier, cuter, and more spunky then Cecilia, which I find boring and a bit annoying. Cecily is in my top 10!

Both!Cecilia is gorgeous name, elegant and international. Cecily is sweeter and softer version, but still fits an adult too. I think it's slightly more feminine too.

CecilyIt's my daughters name.Cecilia is awkward looking. The -ili- is hard to look at. The name reminds me of cilia and biology class. It sounds fine, in fact on occasion I call my little Cecily "Cecilia". Cecily feels lighter to me, without being too frilly or cutesy.

Cecilia sounds beautiful and refined on someone of any age. Cecily sounds very perky. I like both, but I think Cecilia is better.Plus, you can always use Cecily as a nn for Cecilia.

CeciliaCecily sounds really outdated and just kind of... bleargh. I don't know. Cecilia has a timeless quality and is just the all round nicer name.
