I prefer Anna because it sounds strong, whereas Hannah sounds kind of delicate.

I far prefer Anna, though it's a not a real favorite. I really dislike Hannah.

It's hard to say why I hate Hannah. I don't care for the H sound at the beginning of any name, and I can't think of one name that starts with an H that I like. And it just has a connotation for me of an overweight woman living in the middle of the nineteenth century wearing an ugly black dress and with her hair slicked down on top of her head in an unflattering way. Also, Hannah always makes me think of chicken soup, why I don't know, and chicken soup is one of the few foods I really hate.

Would depend on what it's paired with... Hannah's a bit overdone right now, but I'm not sure where Anna is in relationship to that... I know a man who has daughters named Hana and Anna, but I think that's a bit much.
They're pretty much different forms of the same name... Decide what you want to pair it with and go with whichever you think sounds better with its match.

Anna. I love Anna. Hannah, for some reason, doesn't age well to me. It brings to mind a spoiled little girl with pigtails, and I can never see her past the age of eight.

I'm torn. I think Anna sounds prettier because I don't love the H sound. I also think Anna ages better than Hannah. But Anna also seems too boring and normal, devoid of character in a way, whereas Hannah has a little more spunk. So I can't answer the question.

I find Hannah, with that H sound and spelling, ultra-unattractive - a comedy character called "Fat Hannah" and "hard-hearted Hannah" come to mind as well.
Anna is softer and very pretty; it's always appealed to me.

Hannah, because it's so much prettier than plain, boring and dull Anna.

I prefer Anna, although it's pretty close. I think Anna is a little more unusual, esp. on younger people. Hannah's a bit trendy at the moment and then there's the Hannah Montana association as well. I also think that Hannah doesn't age as well as Anna does.
