It's so short and simple, and yet both historical, classic and somehow remarkably spunky. I pronounce it as ay-EE-duh, which I'm not sure is the same as ah-EE-duh. But regardless, who cares? It's been on my list for a very long time and I've grown to appreciate it as a very song-like, lyrical name. The syllable combination sounds genuinely beautiful, no?

I would prn it Ay-duh. I like it.
I like Aida, but it's used by Muslims exclusively here so I'd never use it.
