Some nitpicks

- Emmanuela is a genuine feminine form of Emmanuel, and Evania is a name which is unconnected to the name Evan.
- Virginia and Georgia are first names before place names, and Memphis is a female character in mythology.
- Pagan is a word used to refer to various religions. It is not the opposite of religious names, and it is certainly unjust to say it is the opposite of virtue names.

I agree with Andromache -- I found the original post immensely offensive.
As I said, it was meant in a light-hearted way. I am aware that a lot of the names are legit names, e.g. Mercedes was a name before it was a car, etc. I am also sure that some of those names are legit names in other ethnicities. But, to an English speaker, some are amusing. It doesn't mean I have anything against the people who chose the names. Don't take political correctness too far.

I did as well. I do wish people would think before they type.
