I pronounce it kin-NER-ret. That's the only pronunciation I've ever heard. It means "harp" (although I have one book which lists it as meaning "violin") and is the Israeli term for the Sea of Galilee. Speaking of which, I'm starting to like Galilee as a novel sort of place name.
