WDYT of Celia?
How do you feel about Celia?
Does it have two or three syllables when you say it?
Does Celia Noelle make a good combo?
Would it be bad if my children had the same initials?
What other names would work as a mn for Celia?
Thanks!!

I like Celia, but I prefer Cecelia nn Celia.
1. I like Celia very much though I prefer Celina (love their meaning. BTW, Cecilia has an entirely different origin and meaning.
2. SEE-lee-a
3. Celia Noelle has a nice flow. Keep in mind the combo has an overtly religious theme ("heavenly Christmas"). If that's your thing, fine. Actually, it would make a nice combo for a child born around Christmas, wouldn't it?
4. Nah, life's too short to worry about matching initials.
5. Celia Catherine, Celia Charlotte, Celia Claire, Celia Corinne, (guess you can tell I like the whole C.C. thing, huh?), Celia Frances, Celia Juliet, Celia Mary, Celia Margaret, Celia Rosemary, Celia Victoria

Celia and Cecelia are two names that just never did it for me. It seems like everybody really loves them except for me. The name just seems kind of whiney. SEEEEEL-ee-uh. It just... whines, you know? I think that's just me, though. Everybody else seems to really like it. And I can definitely appreciate it as a name, because it's quite lovely. I just dislike the sound. Celia Noelle is very pretty. And no, there's nothing wrong with your children having the same initials. I'm AEC and my sister is EAC. No biggie.
Right now, I love, love, LOVE Celia. :) I say it with three syllables, although the second is very brief. I like Celia Noelle. Very pretty, but not too flashy. My current combo is Celia Ruby, but I also like Celia Vivian.
1. Love it.
2. Three. Sort of. Maybe two and a half.
3. I think Noelle becoming filler. You could do better, imo.
4. Caleb & Celia isn't too bad, the first letter is pronounced differently.
5. Celia Penelope, Celia Alexandra, Celia Parthenope, Celia Marianne, Celia Hermione, Celia Maren, Celia Renata, Celia Madeleine, Celia Ghislaine (zhis-len).

Does it have two or three syllables when you say it? Two.
Does Celia Noelle make a good combo? Yeah. Nothing exciting for me, but it is nice.
Would it be bad if my children had the same initials? I don't think so.
What other names would work as a mn for Celia? Celia Annabelle, Celia Catherine, Celia Eleanor, Celia Regina, Celia Azure, Celia Natasha, Celia Adele, Celia Rebecca.... Eh, none of those are that great though. :\

I think it's beautiful, and it has such nice meaning :o) When I say it, it has 2 syllables, and I think Celia Noelle is a nice pairing (even though I don't normally like Noel/Noelle). I think if you eventually had a 3rd child, you might have trouble pulling off the same initials again with names that you actually adore--you might just end up picking a middle name *because* it's the same initial.
As for combos, maybe:
Celia Claire
Celia Marielle
Celia Adele
Celia Terese
Celia Tamar

I used to dislike both Celia and Cecelia, but they've grown on me. Now I actually think Celia is a gorgeous name. It has all the right sounds. And it helps that I know a wonderful little girl (about 9 yrs old) with this name. I'd say two syllables.
I don't think it's bad if your children have the same initials, although I always thought it was convenient for my mom when making notes to just refer to my sister and I as "A" and "L" instead of writing out our names.

Although I don't adore Celia, I like it well enough. I'm considering it for our baby-to-be. It is close to my MIL's name (Velia) and has the same meaning as my mom's name. I still haven't decided if I prefer it as 2 or 3 syllables either. I like Celia Noelle. I love the name Noelle. To me, it's one of those names that fits well with almost any other name. I also don't see a problem with your kids having the same initials.
