WDYT of Lesya?
It's the name (doesn't appear to be a nickname) of one of the authors of an article I have to summarize for a class, and I thought it was kind of interesting (more interesting than my homework, at least...). Thoughts?

I like the look and feel as if I should like it but the sound makes me think of lesions and that simply isn't pleasant.

Lesya is normally used (at least in Russian culture) as a nickname to Olesya (ah-LYE-sya), though I have seen it a few times on its own. A sweet name. :)

How do you think it would be pronounced? I would say Less-ay-ah (ay as in the sound the letter 'I' makes when you say it). I think it's okay, but it's the sort of name that I imagine may grow on me. It makes me think of a cross between Leslie and Safiya, both of which I think are good names.
