Rain is tasteful enough on a boy butin saying that it isn't really my thing much like Willow, River or Sky. Nice but not for me at all. Gem names were never restricted to girls either but Amethyst is a bit of a rare one in the first place and I'd expect a bearer to be female. I'm glad it's a middle name.Add to it Lee, this is a very androgynous combination.

Are you sure it isn't a girl?Thats what everyone who sees his name on paper is going to think. Good luck trying to make it in an e-mail, text, writing driven world.

I've never been a fan of the name Rain.

Nice flow, but I'd think it was a girl if I didn't know. On their own I really don't like any of these names. And Rain Ryan doesn't sound so good (or is his last name Lee?).

Way too feminine for me. It sounds nice, though.

The only Rains I've ever known have been females so, through association, when I look at the combo, I think girl. I think, in that case, I'd like it more, but to each his/her own. I've heared much worse.
