Jessie
What do you think of Jessie for a girl? Do you know anybody who is just Jessie, not Jessica? Do you think it's too nickname-ish? I really like Jessie Rose, I think it's gorgeous though maybe a bit boring. Do you think people would always assume it was a nickname and that her full name was Jessica? How many Jessicas you know go by Jessie? Is it actually a popular name (because often used as a nickname)?

My great aunt Jessie was just Jessie and insisted my grandma choose a "real" name for my mum and just use Trudy as a nickname... Very thankful Grandma chose Trudene and not Gertrude or Waltrude
Don't know if that says something about having it as a full name vs. nn or if it says more about my great aunt's mindset... Their mother was just Katie or Kate though.

I know a lady in her late 40s named Jessie (not Jessica) I prefer Jessica or Jessamine. I don't really like the nn Jessie I prefer Jess or Jessa. I like Jesse for a boy though.
Jessie Rose is nice but I like Jessica or Jessamine Rose more.
My cousin is Jessica and goes by Jess or Jessie sometimes, I've known other Jessicas (about 2 or 3) that have usually gone by Jess.

Nope

For me it is, I prefer to use the full name. I think Jessica is really pretty. Other options include Jessamine or Jessenia. I really like Jessamine because it reminds me of the Milly-Molly-Mandy books I used to read as a kid.

I am /so/ sick of Rose as a middle name. Seriously. Yea I think they might

My best friend Jessica "Jess" often gets called Jessie or JessieBessie

I only know one girl named Jessi (and it's spelled that way, not Jessie). People always seem to assume that her full name *must* be Jessica; she very good natured about explaining, but it probably gets old fast.
I don't actually know many Jessicas at all. One who I knew as a child went by Jessie. As an adult, I can only think of two I've encountered (also adults), and both were "Jessica"--not "Jessie" or even "Jess."
Actually, when I think about it, I've met way more males named Jesse than girls named Jessie (or Jessica) in my life.

Jessie's adorable, but Jessica's so beautiful that I am really having a hard time coming over to your paradigm. I really like Jesse for a boy, so Jessie has a sort of boyish appeal to it, and Jessie Rose is short and simple enough that it is very boyish and fun - but in its plainness, not because it's rich. I think a lot of people would assume that it was a nickname. Jessica Rose is IMO gorgeous and Jessie and Jessie Rose are fun nicknames. But I can't see them as full names, or at least as really pretty ones. They're just cute.
