I don't really like the name, because its meaning implies (at least historically) that some parents didn't feel the need to name their son so just called him the third-born. I've seen this used in it's feminine form, Tertia, third-born (and unappreciated) daughter in a historical fiction novel set in Rome. I've never heard it used in the modern day.
