Aluna
Aluna is a Kenyan name that means "approach"
Pronounced as *ah LOO nah*
I don't care for Luna much but I am liking this name. It seems peaceful.

Different info on Aluna...
The word "Aluna" means 'pure thought, memory, soul, mind, imagination' and comes from the creation myth of the Kogi people in Colombia
“In the beginning there was blackness
Only the sea.
In the beginning there was no sun, no moon, no people.
In the beginning there were no animals, no plants,
Only the sea.
The sea was the Mother.
The Mother was no people, she was not anything.
Nothing at all.
She was when she was, darkly.
She was memory and potential.
She was Aluna.”

reminds me of the word "alumna"
I think that's a wonderful background and a very pretty name. I lean towards mythology or names with great meanings so it really tickles my fancy :o)
I'm the opposite, I adore Luna, and Aluna doesn't seem half as nice.
I've never heard this before, but I really do love it. Have you considered any middle names? The first that comes to mind for me is Rose, but I guess it's a "filler name".
I think it's lovely.
