Re: Poppy and Harlow
in reply to a message by Lily8
Poppy is already popular in the UK, so I can easily see it getting popular in the US, along with Polly. Poppy is one of those names that I do sort of like as a guilty pleasure, but hate the floral association and nickname feel. I would use it as a nickname for Penelope. Unfortuanately, I fear Penelope is going to become popular too. At one point choicing Penelope was bold but not anymore... it's so annoying. I'm unsure of Harlow. I think it will get a little more attention being Nicole Richie's daughter, and also a surname and a name (surname) of an old Hollywood startlet which helped Ava's rise. But frankly, I think some of the public is catching on to these trends and they are getting tired of them. Plus Harlow sounds sort of trashy to me, and I think some others will agree. These forces could work against Harlow.
