Honestly, I hate this name. It is so ugly to me! I mean nothing about it is attractive. Shelby. "Shel" isn't attractive. "Elb" isn't attractive. "Elby" isn't attractive. "Shelb" is about the ugliest letter combination I've ever heard.

I also don't think it works for a tiger AT ALL. It's an English surname. It didn't even really exist as a first name until the 1930's. A tiger should have something Asian, which would reflect their country of origin. How about:
