Which nickname do you prefer?
Kate or Rosie? I think I'm leaning towards Kate but would love some others' opinions!

I prefer Kate too. I also like Kat. Do you prefer to use a formal long name, still. Such as Kate or Rosie on the birth certificate?

Me, I prefer a formal long name most of the time, but I think Kate can hold up without the long form. Many people might assume Kate is short for Katherine though, and for that reason alone I would use Katherine for legal purposes.

Kate though I am a trifle biased because my daughter is Catherine:)
Rosie seems very childish to my ears, okay for an under ten year old but a bit cutsey on an older girl or woman, and I would say that about Katie too.
