I am a big fan of short, simple girl's names. But I must admit, this one make me think of a pirate saying "I own ye!"
The meaning is very pretty, however, and if you adore it--sound AND feel--then I'd say go for it! Because that's pretty much what matters in the end.
What about the written Ione don't you like? I'm not sure I would know how to pronounce it without your tip.
