I've had a lot of my favorite names (which I put right up there in appeal with Aviva) stay unpopular for ages! When was the last time you met a baby Kinneret, Zariza, Lital, Sarai, or Nurit?
I can't see Evangeline becoming that popular, although I couldn't see that for Essence, Princess, or Precious either. Go figure.

I think Evangeline will enter the top 100 in 2010. sad, yes but i think more and more people use it. i have seen it a lot on message boards where people usually dislike unusual names and love names like Jayden.

Evangeline is quite popular. In the past two years it has come out of nowhere, from not placing at all, to being in the mid-400 top girl names in the US. Many women are using it for their children. The name will only continue to rise in popularity.
