In my mind this name is very dated to my age group, although it might not be truly so. I know of 4 girls named Brooke in my grade at school although there are 562 people so it's arguably not that many. That places them at around 18 years old. Brooklyn is really cute and I like it, but it's a GP for me because its very trendy (lyn and place name) I don't think it would be shortened very often, but I definitely think it will be dated.
