I like the IDEA of Brooke, but the name itself gives me the image of an empty-headed, shallow girl. Every Brooke I've ever met didn't have a whole lot going on upstairs (no offense to anyone here if that is your name). Also, the name is kind of stuck in the 80's; not necessarily a bad thing, but I think it's one of those names that needs some time to breathe before it comes back.

I dislike Brooklyn for a girl or a boy. I think it's annoyingly trendy, and they probably will go by Brooke, anyway.
