Veda is pronounced VAY-duh. Vada looks like VAH-duh to me.
I first heard Veda as a character name in "Mildred Pierce", a great classic with Joan Crawford.
She's not a great character, so I wouldn't use the name. But, I like that it's very unique and quite interesting.

I think it was spelled Vada and pronounced VAY-duh in the movie. Because Ada is AY-duh it makes sense to me that Vada is VAY-duh even though I think you could also use Veda.

Veda is Hindu or Sanskrit,so you have to take that in to consideration. It wont be pronounced the same.
