1.I really don't like it. I find it to be completely dated, and not in a good way.
2.I don't understand how it would be a NN for Wilhelmine. The "mil" sound doesn't exist in that particular name; I can see it being a NN for Mildred or Millicent, but not Wilhelmine.

The "mil" sound doesn't exist in that particular nameTrue, but by that logic, Bobby, Bessie, Nell, etc. wouldn't make sense either, you know? The sounds exist enough in the name, I think, for it to work. But either way, I'm kind of lenient when it comes to nicknames. =PThanks!

I guess you're right. Peggy is a valid NN for Margaret, but that doesn't make sense, either. But then, I'm more...I don't know the word...traditional when it comes to NN's.
